Buy some basil for New Year's Eve dishes: Three-cup rice blood with king oyster mushrooms/Three-cup chicken with rice blood/Three-cup shrimp with shredded pork and tofu/Thai-style basil pork/Salt and pepper chicken, fried finger tempura with basil, pesto for pasta—it has so many uses! I'll buy some more in the spring, stick the stems in water, and they'll take root and grow into the ground, so I'll have an endless supply of basil!
