This is the first time I've bought beef shank pre-cut into small pieces. It's much more convenient than a whole piece; you can eat it directly after stewing. It only takes 40 minutes in a pressure cooker.
It's a pretty big bag, looks good, and doesn't have much fat, so it can be used for multiple cooking sessions.

The beef shank looks very good and fresh
Arrived frozen and well-packaged, which I appreciated. However, the meat was quite tough, it took hours to soften and even then, it wasn’t as tender as expected. I’m hoping it was just a one-off and will be better if I repurchase.

Buy them with all the coupons, and discount you can find. Good to have in stock in freezer.
This beef shank, after being blanched in water and then boiled, has absolutely no fishy smell. I made braised beef noodles, adding pickled cabbage, scallions, and blanched vegetables. A whole big pot, and the guests ate it all.
I made a big plate of braised food, but the heat was a bit too high. I'll definitely buy more after I finish this.
I don't know why, but this braised beef doesn't taste as good as another Swift brand beef. The texture of the meat is different; this lean meat is a bit too lean.
